he Ministry of Education in collaboration with Safe the Children launched a comprehensive home-grown, inclusive, learning and development school feeding project (CHILD-SFP)
The program will include over 500 schools and More than 163 thousand students are going to be the beneficiaries of the feeding program.
As stated on the program the project will be implemented in five selected regions 13 woreda. And the program will include Pre-primary and primary students.
State Minister for Ministry of Education Ato Million Mathiwos said that the program has significant role in raising the number of retention of school aged children who are enrolled to attend and helps pay attention to their regular class.
Country director of save the children in Ethiopia Mr.Ekin Ogutogullaria said in his part the project is one of the organization main task to bring students to school, who are the hope of the future. The director also noticed as the office will strength his support in education sector.
The feeding program will address the damaged areas by natural and some man-made disasters and which are not got support before.
The program is launched following the fund raised from Global partnership for Education.
